Happy New Year! It is 2009, finally!!! I am so ready for a new year even if it is only conceptually a new year. You?
Resolutions:
1)To finish my thesis so I can finally get that Master's degree.
1.1 Prospectus--self-imposed deadline is Monday, February 2nd.
1.2 Write every day for at least 30 minutes on thesis.
1.3 Let go of a little bit of the perfectionism crap that makes me fear writing and publishing my thesis.
2) To relearn/rehabilitate my body back into running (which must include cross-training and weights). Or, if that fails, find a new sport that I enjoy.
I
gave up running during the past six months due to knee problems (and
subsequent back pain) which are based on weakness of the vastus
medialis muscles on both legs and quite common in women runners.
Today, I ran for the first time in months! Or, perhaps heh-heh, the correct term would be jogged.
3) Work on Being Here Now.
When I am at work, I shall endeavor to be there mindfully. And--especially important, as a teacher and to decrease stress--when I have physically left work, I must also mentally leave it behind.
4) Act with more loving-kindness --to all, including myself.
5) Continue Shopping with the intent to buy Local (localvore), Sustainable, and as close to Organic as is possible/affordable.
6) Meaningfully blog once a week which means not falling back on lame-ass posts wherein I insert a somewhat-humorous video clip.
