Old Man Winter made his debut today with buckets of rain and gusts of wind hitting the 70+ mph range in San Francisco. Just down the block from my house the winter wind wreaked havoc on this tree (and many more just like it up and down Haight Street!):
P.S. I totally love how the parking meter was untouched by the whole winter storm. The SF Municipal Department WILL damned BE SURE to collect their parking money, come hell or high winds!
Half the fences were down in my neighborhood. Okay, four. But still! And the canal between Willow Pass and Concord Ave is practically full to the brim.
I haven't been able to finish Angela Carter's ...Something Love Something and it's maybe....a little over 100 pages?

Wow. That's wild. I've never seen a tree ripped up through concrete before. Hilarious that the parking meter is untouched.
Stay warm!

Wow, that is some wind. Now, if only they could figure out how to grow trees out of the same stuff they make parking meters out of, then they wouldn't have that trouble.
